Since the opening of Ada Mall in Belgrade in 2019, Multidekor has been responsible for creating and delivering its complete indoor and outdoor Christmas decoration concept. The scheme was designed to complement the shopping centre’s distinctive architecture and to support its role as a destination for shopping, leisure, family visits and shared seasonal experiences.
Multidekor was selected as the decoration partner based on a combination of strong market reputation, industry recommendations and the quality of its Christmas installations. The project included the purchase of the decorations, as well as their professional installation and dismantling. In 2024, the original concept was expanded with new elements, allowing Ada Mall to refresh the experience while preserving a recognisable festive identity.
The Christmas decorations were planned as a coherent journey across the shopping centre rather than as a single focal installation. One of the most memorable elements is Santa descending beneath an illuminated parachute, surrounded by large suspended stars that make full use of Ada Mall’s open, multi-level interior.
At the heart of the scheme stands a tall, natural-looking Christmas tree designed to evoke the atmosphere of a tree brought directly from the forest. The family-oriented storytelling area features a woodland house inhabited by bears, with a hidden bakery integrated into the scenery. Animated figures, carefully designed details and playful discoveries encourage families to pause, explore and spend time together.
The seasonal experience begins before visitors enter the shopping centre. Two illuminated reindeer appear to be walking beside the entrance, while exterior lighting and decorative accents make the building more visible and welcoming during the winter season.
Inside, the tall Christmas tree, suspended stars, illuminated parachute and animated woodland scene create a consistent visual language across the centre. The concept was carefully adapted to Ada Mall’s spatial layout, helping the decorations feel integrated with the building rather than added as separate objects.
As with every large-scale seasonal installation, the centre’s main concerns involved the safe delivery of the decorations and completion of the installation before the beginning of the Christmas season. Multidekor provided continuous operational support throughout the process, and all works were completed on time and with minimal disruption to tenants, visitors and the daily operation of the shopping centre.
The Ada Mall project demonstrates the value of investing in a Christmas concept that can remain visually strong over several seasons and evolve over time. First implemented in 2019 and expanded in 2024, the decorations have continued to shape the centre’s festive atmosphere for seven Christmas seasons.
