Innovative 3D Video

Mappings by Multidekor Will Adorn the Capital

Warsaw Breaks the Boundaries of Traditional Christmas Illumination

This holiday season, Warsaw surprises not only with the charm of new retro decorations from the 1950s and 60s but also with innovative illumination solutions that push the boundaries of traditional Christmas perception in public spaces. Warsaw has long been associated with a unique holiday atmosphere, but this year residents and tourists will be able to experience something completely extraordinary – 3D video mapping using the latest laser projectors. It will be an amazing immersive journey of intersecting animations, colors, and music.

For the first time, 3D video mappings will be displayed on the facade of Staszic Palace on Nowy Świat Street and will transform the pedestrian area at Twardowski Square on Krakowskie Przedmieście near the Bristol Hotel. These will be three-dimensional visual spectacles animating and using architectural details with light, moving images, and sound. Presentations at Staszic Palace (PAN) can be admired from December 15, always from Friday to Sunday. The few-minute shows will take place every hour on the hour. The first is scheduled for 5 PM and the last for 9 PM.

The proposals we introduced to the city’s illumination are a true revolution in how we experience the holiday atmosphere. Using modern laser projectors for 3D video mappings in public space decoration sets new trends not only for Warsaw but also for other cities in Europe.

On the facade of Staszic Palace, we will see not one but two 3D video mappings prepared by Multidekor in cooperation with the City of Warsaw, the Road Administration, and the Polish Academy of Sciences, which will amaze both younger and older viewers.

The first show will take viewers deep into space, exploring themes related to Nicolaus Copernicus, while the second will reveal the charm of Christmas memories in Warsaw from the 1950s and 60s. Both of these attractive presentations will emanate Christmas glow.

The Four Seasons Come Alive at Twardowski Square

During winter walks, residents and tourists will have the opportunity to experience an extraordinary spectacle under their feet every day. The four seasons – spring, summer, autumn, winter – will introduce natural harmony full of vibrant colors to Twardowski Square, with the holiday season as the culmination of this cycle. To the rhythm of classical Baroque music by Antonio Vivaldi, everyone will be able to discover the extraordinary face of each season, immersing themselves step by step in colorful images and symbols. The climax of the new winter 3D video mapping displayed on the promenade by 10 laser projectors will be the holiday season. Then, on a surface of 152 square meters, motifs inspired by the latest retro illumination of the capital and the exceptional time of the end of the year will appear. The dynamically changing show at Twardowski Square will be an excellent attraction for the youngest, who will enthusiastically try to capture the moving images.
It is worth noting that Multidekor is offering 3D video mapping presentations for the first time.
