The magic of winter illumination
In Warsaw’s Galeria Północna, the magic of winter illumination transports visitors straight to the heart of the Arctic North. Responding to the client’s needs, Multidekor transformed the interior of the gallery into a sparkling kingdom of ice and light, using over 3.2 km of energy-efficient LED lights. Among hundreds of thousands of light points gently illuminating the space, the main character of this Christmas story is the polar bear, leading through 18 extraordinary arrangements. This largest and most energy-efficient decoration in the history of the facility not only enchants but also carries an important ecological message.
The adventure begins the moment you enter, where guests are greeted by a bear den, passing by dog sleds with huskies and Inuits, to finally stand under a 6-meter Christmas tree, surrounded by glowing star-shaped arches. Every corner of Galeria Północna became a scene for this winter tale, creating an unparalleled mood that encourages shared moments of joy and holiday warmth. These spectacular decorations, full of glow and finesse, are not only a beautiful backdrop for family photo sessions but also a reminder of the Christmas magic that connects generations.
The client’s wish was to link the decorations with the climate of the northern regions of the globe, hence rejecting penguins that live only in the southernmost parts of the globe. It was important to include local fauna, adding authenticity to the entire arrangement. The decorations appealed to Tarchomin residents, especially the youngest. For them, Multidekor designed special attractions – a light carousel, islands, zones for Christmas animations, and ice rink decorations. Thanks to this, Galeria Północna became a place full of holiday adventures for the whole family.
